I ordered this pool cover in July and it fell apart in mid-August. The cover is not made by Intex nor is it the cover pictured on the website. The cover is 3 square thin tarps glued together, cut in a circle with a stitched channel for the thin nylon string used for securing the cover. Within 4 weeks the bonding agent used to join the pieces disintegrated and the cover fell into the pool. Without the cover, we had to take the pool down early. I called the company twice before they would return my call. They directed me to another company. Since the cover was still under warranty, they are shipping another. I didn't want another inferior cover, given that pool season is now finished. I do not recommend buying this product. It shouldn't receive any stars.

Buyer beware - There are two major flaws with this product.

1. This pool has holes to help water drain off when you take it off the pool. The picture does not show that ! That is good in the sense in that the one that came with the pool did not have holes and took two very strong people to run while removing it when there was a lot of water present on top. However, it is poor design functionality because all the stuff that sits on the top mixes with the rainwater and drains back into the pool. Perhaps something more intelligent should be done by the designer, like remove the holes and place a sleeve for a bar to be used to remove the cover. Also, have it roll as it is being removed. Even with the holes present, it still takes two people to put on and remove. And when it is off, you have to worry about stuff from the ground sticking to it because it will just bring all that stuff into the pool when you put it back on.

Finally, the drawstring design is junk. The original one that came with the pool had a drawstring but the sleeve containing the string tore and kept tearing eventually until there was no securing sleeve for the drawstring (sort of like pulling a piece of fiber from carpet and it keeps unwinding). That is the reason we got the new one and low and behold, this one has the same cheap design as before and it is already starting to tear. When you try and pull the string snug to tie it, it stresses the sleeve and the sleeve starts to tear. A simple brasss eyelet would prevent this from happening.

In general, as with this product, today's product robustness, integrity and quality has gone down the tubes - all because manufacturers want to save money. Well, in the end they will lose more by creating a reputation for putting out junk. Sense my frustration?
