Solar Sun Rings

Great Price "Solar Sun Rings" Today

I live in Phoenix, AZ and have a large diving pool with a south exposure. I purchased the solar rings in Oct. 2008 from my local pool supply store for about per ring. I had to purchase 17 rings (enough to cover 80% of my pool) to keep the pool water in the 80s in October. I found the rings worked best when daytime temps were at least 90 deg and night temps were not below 70 deg.

I like that one person can take them on and off. I just stand on the steps, fold them one at a time into quarters and put them in the shade. To save time I leave some in the pool and just swim around them. At the end of the season just deflate, scrub with stiff brush, rinse, air dry and towel dry, fold into pie wedge and stack them in plastic tub with lid. This is my second season using them and my swimming season now goes from April - Oct.

I tried a solar blanket many years ago and it was huge and difficult to store. It was a pain to put on and take off and eventually we just stopped using it and threw it away. These rings are a much better solution for us.

Don't by this. It's a waste of time, money, space and energy! - Dude - SE Florida
I purchased 7 of these for my pool, after owning a regular solar blanket.
They did nothing buy waste my time, money, space and energy.
They did not change the temperature of my pool water (though my pool is screened and my porch shades the morning and some trees shade the afternoon, so some of the sun light is blocked)
I would not recommend this to people with limited sun exposure (like me).
They deflated often and got slime like crud build-up (yucky!). They collected dirt and required cleaning & extra inflating, which is a waste of my time & energy, since they didn't work for me.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT IS NOT WORTH THE TIME, MONEY & ENERGY! MY ADVICE IS TO: SAVE UP AND WAIT UNTILL YOU CAN BUY A REAL SOLAR POOL HEATER. I hope this saves at least 1 person from learning this lesson the hard way, like i did.... I DON'T RECOMMEND BUYING THIS PRODUCT.

Don't waste your time & money - R. Valiente - Cedar Park, TX USA
I had to give the product at least one star to leave a review...I would actually not give this product any stars at all.

We bought 17 rings to cover our pool in the hope that we could extend the swimming season for our kids. This product works...in theory. In reality though, any wind at all will cause the rings to end up in a pile at the down wind end of your pool. You will have to rearrange the rings several times a day in a futile effort to keep them positioned over the surface of the water. Keep in mind that we don't live in a really windy area...we are in Central Texas. My advise - save your money.
